Shopping Local In Nashville:: A Curated Gift Guide
Christmas shopping is officially in full swing. I’m sure many of you have already finished your Christmas list and the gifts are wrapped and under the tree. Or if you are like myself, you are just now getting started, which is fine, YES it’s fine, that’s what two day shipping and shopping local is all about.
I love giving gifts, especially those that are locally made. Locally made gifts carry a certain charm that Amazon cannot deliver. I am here to share with you a few of my favorite locally curated items…there is seriously something for everyone on this list.
Jackson Morgan is a sipping Tennessee whiskey cream. It comes in a variety of flavors from banana pudding to peppermint mocha (my current favorite). Jackson Morgan comes in a bottle that is ready for gifting, making it the perfect hostess gift.
This will be the best chocolate you’ve EVER eaten. Olive and Sinclair is Tennessee’s first and only bean-to-bar chocolate company. Not only is the chocolate amazing, but they also have other creations such as, buttermilk white chocolate, duck fat caramels, smoked nib brittle and many other fabulous treats. If you are looking for an adventure in east Nashville go check out their factory tour, you will not be disappointed.
Arrington Vineyards is a taste of wine country right in our backyard in Arrington Tennessee. Obviously, a bottle of wine (especially my current favorite, Blackberry wine) will make a wonderful gift. But if you are looking for the gift that keeps on giving, the Kix’s Wine Club offers something for everyone shipped right to your doorstep. You can chose from the red fan club, white fan club, mixed fan club, or the sweet fan club. A wine club membership will give you 20% off wine orders, a complimentary classic tasting, and an invitation to private events.
I personally have been using Little Seed products for over a year now and have never looked back. Little Seed is a green company that produces chemical-free and nourishing skin care. They make everything from soaps and deodorants to elasticity serums. You may purchase Little Seed at various Kroger’s in the Nashville area or on their website.
Balanced nutrition with a no-bake taste…yep, sounds like the perfect stocking stuffer to me. Grab the Gold bars are are made with clean ingredients and provide great nutrition. With under 200 calories and 11g of protein they are the best meal replace cookie I’ve had. Grab the Gold comes in two flavors, (created here in Franklin, TN) chocolate peanut butter and peanut butter and jelly. You can locally find Grab the Gold bars in many grocery stores.
Ummm because who doesn’t love cookies? Summer’s Sweet Shoppe creates beautiful cookies and will even teach you how to create decorated cookies during one of their cookie classes. Be sure to order from Summer’s Sweet Shoppe for your next event.
Nothing says CHEERS to the holiday season quite like Pickers Vodka. Pickers produces handcrafted vodka here in Nashville. They have their signature original vodka along with three flavors, Blueberry, Blood Orange, and Pineapple. These flavored vodkas create the tastiest of cocktails. Do yourself a favor and pick up some Pickers Vodka for your New Years celebration.
By my “professional” recommendation you should just go on and purchase EVERYTHING on your Christmas list from Thistle Farms. Thistle Farms is an incredible non profit organization that helps women who have gone through drug addiction, prostitution, and sex trafficking. They give these women a second chance at life by providing them housing, health care, and counseling for up to two years. Once the two years is up the women can be employed by Thistle Farms, that’s how their amazing products are created. They have everything from room sprays to candles and lotions.
All these vendors came together to create swag bags for a blogger event that I hosted. Each vendor is incredible at what they do and have such huge hearts for Nashville. Please remember to shop local this season.
