Some Bunny Is Turning One:: Olive’s First Birthday Party

at

My baby girl just turned ONE. Yes, I am in complete disbelief of how fast Olive’s first year flew by.

Olive is such a sweet blessing in our life. Ever since she came into my life I believed that God gifted us Olive just as He gifted Noah the olive branch. After 267 days on the Ark the dove retrieved Noah an olive branch, this branch symbolized hope and peace from God. When Olive came into our lives she managed to bring us a peace that we didn’t even realize we were missing.

So because this is my last first birthday to throw we had to do it up BIG!

Olive had a Some Bunny Is Turning One party and it was everything I had imagined. Some how today went incredibly smooth. Because I have three kids and little time I decided to start decorating about three days prior and cleaned the evening before the party. Since I was so on top of it, I found my self being able to get all dressed and swanky TWO hours before the party started. At my previous parties I was getting ready while folks were knocking down the door, so this was a breath of fresh air.

I am so excited to share with you some of Olive’s party. I will be including the vendors I used, along with a handful of recipes.

Olive’s first birthday photos were done by Kellie Rose Photography here in Franklin, TN. Be sure to check out her website and mention me. Olive’s outfit is from Chic Pipsqueak use CPOLIVE15 to save, the bunny flower crown is from Target.

The invites turned out absolutely perfect. They were a jumping off point for this floral bunny soiree. The color combination was exactly what I was looking for. Your Little Poster designed these beauties.

Oh my goodness now lets talk about this cake. IT WAS AMAZING! The cake is from Sweet Bakes Donuts and Cakes in Columbia, TN. The topper, along with other banners I used were from Jules and Kenna. I also decided to make some chocolate cupcakes (from a box, with homemade icing), mainly because I wanted to save a little money and not purchase a separate smash cake.

The plates and napkins are from Meri Meri, and I’m still obsessing over them.

I did a large mix of gold and metal, which worked really well together…I kind of surprised myself. The metal cake stands were from Michaels craft store. The gold “Olive” balloons were purchased from The Fulfilled Shop on Etsy.

I decided on a whelm to create a ombre balloon backdrop. It wasn’t prefect but it was a decent cake smash backdrop. Olive’s first birthday party hat is from Kutie Bow Tuties.

The party favors also turned out beyond perfection. I purchased the baskets from the Dollar Tree…yep, you read that right. I filled the baskets with paper shred and topped them with bunny cotton candy, bubbles, Annie’s Cheddar Bunnies, and Annie’s Bunny Gummies.

Here are the links to the recipes I used for appetizers. I also purchased the fruit tray and chicken tray from Chick Fil A…best idea ever and now I get to eat leftover Chick Fil A on a Sunday, be jealous.

Now on to planning the next big party!
